Celebrating the Sacred and the Secular

Worship is lovely, joyful, intellectually stimulating, and ever changing. It is never boring, irrelevant, judgmental, or exclusive. We walk humbly in our worship, wrestling together with the deep questions of life.

What can I expect?

Excellent Music: Music moves us!  Expect live secular and sacred music that points to our themes of peace, justice, love, hope…Des Moines area musicians lead our music with a variety of styles.  Expect a different artist each week.

Ancient Sacred Stories and Modern Conversation: Our pastor is anything but boring! She challenges us with relevant interpretations of the old, old stories. She’s Spirit-filled, passionate, and progressive.

Shared Feast: You will always be invited to share bread and cup as we break open our lives with one another.  Bread and cup remind us we are One with the earth, Christ, and community.  The feast nourishes us to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly in our work and play.

Inclusive language: Language is important and we treat it with respect.  We use inclusive, non-gendered language for the Divine and humanity.

Radical Welcome: We are LGBTQ affirming and welcoming of people of diverse theological perspectives, faith paths, and abilities. Children are always welcome and engaged! We welcome and affirm gender diverse individuals and families with gender diverse children. You are invited to dress however you are comfortable.  Our worship space is wheelchair accessible and has an all-gender inclusive restroom.
